This is replacement Canon BG-E6 battery grip, allows your Canon EOS 5D Mark II D-SLR camera to be powered by two LP-E6 batteries simultaneously. It's very easy to use, just remove the installed Canon LP-E6 battery from your Canon EOS 5D Mark II digital camera and the battery door detaches. The BG-E6 slides up into the battery compartment and locks into place via the tripod socket screw. This equivalent to genuine Canon BG-E6 battery grip provides its own tripod adapter threads, so this functionality is not lost.
 
The Canon BG-E6 battery grip holds two Canon LP-E6 Batteries that deliver double the number of shots or video time from the Canon EOS 5D Mark II. Alternatively, use 6 AA batteries in the included replacement BGM-E6 battery magazine in case of any emergency out of power.

Most of the controls present on the built-in Canon EOS 5D Mark II grip are also available on this replacement BG-E6 battery grip including Shutter-Release, Main Dial, AF Point Selection, AF/FE Lock and AF-ON, And the power on/off button.
