It is simple and easy to use, simply insert your 2nd battery into built-in cradle and plug into any AC 100-240V power supply socket, you can also charge your mobile phone or iPod using built-in USB slot if you have compatible USB charger, simply plug in USB Type A connector into built-in USB slot, and compatible USB charging connector into the bottom/side of your phone/iPod to simultaneously charge phone/iPod and spare 2nd battery as same time.
